Eating Disorders don't discriminate. I treat individuals in all bodies and backgrounds with a culturally sensitive, social justice, and body liberation focused lens. I also acknowledge the weight stigma and biases that occur in traditional treatment settings. I'm here to break down those barriers and provide excellent and collaborative care regardless of body size, ethnicity, sexual orientation, treatment history, and other marginalized identities.

*Anorexia occurs in all body types but has historically been categorized by weight criteria. Research has show that individuals can have the same symptoms/behaviors and severe medical instability without meeting the weight criteria outlined in the DSM-V-TR. It is commonly referred to as “Atypical Anorexia” but it is not “atypical” at all and very common. I choose not to use the terms typical or atypical because I believe them to be stigmatizing and invalidating of the individual’s experience.
